Uniform
Personal appearance is important and part of children’s education is learning how to look after themselves. Therefore we request all children to wear school uniform at school. We do need the co-operation of parents to ensure that each child arrives at school, clean, tidy and suitably dressed for all the activities in which they participate.

The only jewellery permitted in school is a single plain gold/silver stud in the lower lobes, plus a watch. Children are required to remove earrings during PE lessons or tape over them. Parents must supply the tape to cover earrings. Staff are not permitted to remove earrings.

Watches/fitbits type devices must be removed for PE. These must not have gaming/recording abilities. If a child is continuously distracted by these in school, we will ask for them not to be worn.
- Make up and nail varnish should not be worn to school.
- Long hair must be tied up and and hairbands, scrunchies/bows should be small, plain and preferably navy/black. Hair should not be cut shorter than a “number two” and must not be shave-patterned in any way. Hair must be natural colour.

All children require a coat in school when the weather is changeable, cold or wet and additionally hat and gloves during cold spells of weather. On hot sunny days children require a hat or a cap for protection from the sun. (Please ensure sunscreen is applied at home, on warm days pupils may bring a roll-on sun cream to school for reapplication).

For health and safety reasons we do not allow children to wear shoes with platform soles or high heels. Shoes which incorporate flashing lights are not appropriate for school wear.
Boots or wellingtons may be worn to and from school during bad weather, but children will need to change into school shoes on arrival.
- Please remember to label your child/ren’s uniform clearly.
